School Council is the body responsible for policy development, finance and maintenance of facilities. It consists of up to 14 members – comprising parents and Department of Education & Training (DET) employees. Elections are held in March each year with half the Council being elected annually. For those wishing to learn a bit more about how SC works, this document is useful.
School Council operates on a task oriented basis with recommendations brought to the monthly general meeting. Any member of the school community is welcome to participate on these task forces. School Council meets on the third Monday of every month. A comprehensive Annual Report is published and available for viewing on the school website. SC conduct an annual welcome event connecting school to the community early in Term 1. Our Councillors are governed by our School Council Code of Practice. If you have school level concerns or ideas that you would like raised at School Council, please email the President or speak with any of our members. |

Wodonga Primary School is seeking nominations for this year’s School Council Elections. The School Council plays a vital role in shaping the direction of our school and ensuring we achieve our long-term vision. Each year, we invite parents to nominate for positions on the Council to help us maintain strong parent representation. This year, six positions are available, each with a two-year term.
Being part of the School Council is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to decision-making, support school initiatives, and engage with the broader school community.

2025 Student Leaders
Each year our Years 5/6 student leaders are selected by a panel of school and student leaders through an interview process.
They represent their year levels at school level discussions and with our School Council; and organise student-based school activities.
Representatives attend the School Council for monthly meetings on JSC's behalf.
