This website includes a great deal of information and discussion about using the Internet with younger children. It also includes a comprehensive index to many websites in groupings of special interest for children. A number of sites offer ideas and projects suitable for the younger classes. Older children will enjoy visiting them also.

4 Kids - A great site to get kids started on all sorts of cross curricular investigations. Great for kids grades K-6

Enchanted Learning - A plethora of great sites for the younger set. Lots of dinosaur activities; learn nursery rhymes. Work in English, English-French or English-Spanish. First Grade Back Packer - Excellent site for things that first graders can do.

4 Kids - A great site to get kids started on all sorts of cross curricular investigations. Great for kids grades K-6.
FunBrain - A great place with wonderful educational games to play. For this age group click on the area for ages 7-10.

Fun School - A wonderful site that starts on a Home Page where you can pick activities for preschool, Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade. They also have an area for kids in grades 3-6.
Gustown - A wonderful town with lots of educational activities for very young children. Very parent and kid friendly.
Hello Kitty - Have a tea party and have fun with Hello Kitty.
Idea Box - Just what it says, a zillion links to all kinds of ideas and activities for preschool teachers, parents and kids.
Kids' Castle - An area of the Smithsonian. A great site for activities of all types.

Zany Brainy - A few activities here, however, this is a good site where you can buy educational and developmentally appropriate toys by clicking on the age of the child. At first perusal the prices looked very good.
