SCHOOL PROFILE:

Wodonga Primary School is a large primary school which offers quality education for all students. The school services the local and wider community with a student population of 700. Projected enrolments should see the school drop in numbers slightly over the next 5 years. Classes are structured into year level groups with teachers working together to develop curriculum appropriate to the needs of the students and linked to the Victorian Essential Learnings. Our school works within Professional Learning Teams (P-2, 3-4 and 5-6). This enables teachers to articulate their practise and to share expertise and educational philosophy. Specialist areas in Art, Music, Physical Education and LOTE (Japanese) provide a range of opportunities for students to both participate and excel. Links to the local and wider community are valued and seen as essential in building a strong purpose for learning. Parent partnerships are promoted across the school and in a range of areas.

A new building project continues to enhance our exceptional facilities. We are very fortunate at Wodonga Primary School to have superb grounds for students to use. These include tennis courts, Prep only area, play equipment, fitness track, netball courts, football oval, soccer oval, sports gymnasium, sandpit, downball courts and quiet areas.

At Wodonga Primary our focus is upon the development of the whole child. We believe that strong social and emotional skills are vital for successful learning. At Wodonga Primary we promote social skills via our ‘Right On Track’ program.
