On flights from an international terminal, liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) such as toiletries are required to be 100mls or less and must be displayed within a clear resealable plastic bag and screened at the screening checkpoint.
Labelling: It is very important that every piece of luggage has a label inside and outside with name, address and home telephone number. Please also remember to name all your belongings.
Please note - passports will be held by the Tour Director throughout the tour, and should be handed into the school office no later than one week before departure.
Hand Luggage (suggestions)

For prescription medications: place the labelled medication, prescription and instructions regarding the dosage amount and time of administration, in a labelled Ziploc bag along with the signed WPS Medication form.
For non-prescription medications (eg. Panadol): place the packet of medication in a labelled Ziploc bag with written instructions for the use of such medication, along with the signed WPS Medication form.
Please note: Children are not to bring any electronic devices on the tour with the exception of a camera – iPhone or iPod cameras are not permitted. Any iPod or iPhone or small mobile electronic devices will be confiscated for the duration of the tour.
Remember to include a camera charger and (if possible) an adaptor to plug your charger into the power point.
PASSPORTS
All passports need to be handed in to the school office by Friday February 21st. As you know you need your passport to identify yourself when entering or leaving countries. It is important for your child to keep his/her passport safe at all times.
In light of this, the Staff on tour have decided to implement two safety procedures to ensure the safe keeping of passports throughout the tour. Each student will have a laminated photocopy on a lanyard consisting of the identification page, along with an information booklet that lists all contact details while in Japan - both in English and Japanese. His/her actual passport will be kept by the Tour Director and placed in a hotel safe while touring. This method has been used previously on overseas school trips. Students will be responsible only for the safe keeping of this card.
Staff will safeguard your child’s passport until it is needed for any passage through customs in Australia or Japan. Passports will be distributed and collected at each Customs point. No student will be given the individual responsibility for his or her passport. Please make sure you have completed the page of the passport that contains the details of who is to be notified in case of an emergency.
Do not alter your passport in any way as the Passport Act provides a penalty for such an offence.
MONEY

PHONE CALLS
- We ask that you do not call your child at the accommodation while in Japan. In most cases, staff at the Inns have very little, if any English, so getting through to your child would be difficult. Further, our schedule is very busy and we may not be available.
- If there is an emergency and you need to speak with your child, please contact the School Office on 02 6048 0300 – they have our contact details in Japan. They will be able to give you our mobile phone number in the case of an emergency.
- If it is out of school hours, please call the 24 hour emergency contact number below.
- Students will post messages to our Blog site during the tour. These messages will also be posted on the Wodonga Primary School website.
