W.P.S. 150th Anniversary Celebrations
On the weekend of the 3rd, 4th and 5th of November, Wodonga Primary School held their 150th celebrations. We celebrated with a Street Parade which included all students and teachers. We were very proud of the way the students and staff dressed for the occasion. The school made an olden day classroom available to students to experience. They were of course, very interested in olden day methods of discipline, including the strap. Past and Present students, parents and teachers enjoyed the bush dance with a little help from Lazy Harry. We were then able to enjoy the Saturday and Sunday events which included tours of the school, a cocktail party and the official opening of our Commemoration Avenue. It was great to see the interested faces of those viewing the new elements of the school buildings and also poring over photos and registers that told of history long ago. It was an important event for the school that was enjoyed by many and the school would like to thank all those that were involved.
